7 Big Brands that created Beautiful Timeline Pages within the hour

About one hour ago Facebook started rolling out, as expected, its timeline for pages. Who thought that big brands are by definition is about to be proven wrong: I’ve already spotted 7 major brands that have switched to Timeline within the hour. Of course some brands (such as Coca Cola) were already testing timeline for a while, but stil..

Custom tabs

Before I go into the 7 timeline pages, I wanted to talk about custom tabs for a second. They still exist! The format has changed a bit though: they’re now 810 pixels wide instead of 520 pixels, which gives us much more space to do cool stuff inside Facebook fan pages! Just wanted to share info with you :)

How do we change the default images on our apps to be a picture? So they do not say ftml or whatever in that line undr the new profile image?

I like the page of Livestrong. Especially the, little big detail, image of the blog tab.

What is the Plugin mentioned at the top of the page – is it something different WP4FB Agency?

Don’t quite get how this works (from the FB help page about the new timeline)

“You can’t change the default landing view to another view or app, but you can link people directly to a particular view or app on your Page. Find the URL for a view or app on your Page in the web address bar of your browser when you visit that view or app. ”

Pre-like pages will still be there I presume (once enabled in WP4FB?) .

This bring to an end the days of “like our page” landing tabs I guess.

    Yes, pre-like page will still be available, but you won’t be able to automatically show them when users visit your fan page (unless you’re pointing them to that specific URL, of course).

    We’ll release an WP4FB update ASAP!

@Krys – if you click on the the tab with a number and down arrow to the left of your app listings it will show all the apps.

Click the pencil icon at the top right of the box for the app you want to change the default image.. Click “Edit settings”… Next to custom tab images select change and you’ll be brought to developer page where you can upload custom image. Image size is 111×74.

I am with AJ – If the head image is facebook hosted – where do the pages go from wp4fb ?
